The Esh Construction team has been hard at work on site over the last few months – safely and with social distancing measures in place, of course – and as a result The Ironworks is really starting to take shape!

Take a look at one of the latest photos from the site, where you can see the two ‘chimneys’ that have been designed to hide the apartment building’s lift shafts and ventilation. Compare it with the CGI and you can see how Nick Brown Architect and PfP Igloo’s vision is coming to life. You can also see a sample of the beautiful, rusted corten steel which will encase the lifts and stairs – the same much-loved material which covers Leeds Beckett University’s broadcasting tower and the Angel of the North.

Keep an eye on our news page and social feeds for regular site updates – there’s a busy few weeks ahead which will see the installation of new windows, building of townhouses 2, 3, 4, 11, 12 and 13 up to roof level and the positioning of internal joists in the townhouse.
